Family vs. Conglomerate
"Should I choose a family funeral home or chain operation?"
Over the past several years, large multi-national organizations have been purchasing funeral homes at an alarming rate. The early nineties saw hundreds of family operated funerals homes across North America brought into the fold of large multi-national firms. Recent media reports such as 60 Minutes, Time, and US News and World Report conclude that these death care business operations, while trying to maintain the facade of a family operation, quickly increase prices and enforce upon employees merchandising policies geared to significantly increase their bottom lines.
"Is Bryant Funeral Home independently owned or is it operated by a large chain or corporation?"
Bryant Funeral Home offers compassionate, comforting care to the families we are privileged to serve. A few years ago, an out-of-state, publicly traded corporation bought up all the other local funeral homes. We stood our ground and remained independent, and you can depend on us to remain independent. This way we can ensure each family we serve receives the most caring and personalized services.
By family owned and operated, this is what we mean:
Dear Fred, Our sincere thanks for your kindness to our family as we dealt with our sad loss. Your parlor setting was so comfortable as we made the decisions to bury our son. We couldn't have asked for anything more as Ken guided us through the preparation. He is such a perfect gentleman and handled the service so sensitively. We appreciate all the personal care and support that was given by your staff and thank you for your service.
Sincerely, Regina and Bill
